Applications from eligible candidates  are invited to the following programmes offered in the University for Admissions 2012-13.

(A) Bachelor’s Degree Programmes (UG Programmes)

  1. B.Sc.(Agriculture)  at  Colleges  of Agriculture,   Dharwad,   Bijapur  and Hanumanamatti (Haveri District).
  2. B.Sc.(Agril.Marketing & Cooperation) at Dharwad
  3. B.Sc.(Forestry) at Sirsi
  4. Bachelor of Home Science (BHSc.) at Rural Home Science College, Dharwad.

Eligibility

A pass in 2-year PUC examination conducted by the Dept.of Pre-University Education, Govt. of Karnataka or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with any other science subject as combination or with inter-agriculture.

(B) Postgraduate Degree Programmes (PG Programmes)

PG Programmes leading to M.Sc.(Agri.), MBA (Agribusiness), MHSc. and M.Sc.(Forestry) and Ph.D. in different disciplines.

(C) Diploma in Agriculture

A 2-year Diploma in Agriculture is offered at Dharwad, Bijapur, Sirsi Jamakhandi (Bagalkot Dist.), Hukkeri (Belgaum Dist.), Akki-Alur (Haveri Dist.).

Eligibility

A pass in SSLC examination conducted by Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board or equivalent examination. For details the candidates may refer to the University website.

General Information

  • Applications can be obtained from the State Bank of India, UAS Campus Branch, Dharwad, or the Deans of the College of Agriculture, Bijapur/ Hanumanamatti; College of Forestry, Sirsi on payment of requisite fee in the form of D.D. drawn in favour of the Comptroller, UAS, Dharwad, from 28.05.2012.
  • The applications can also be downloaded from the University website and in such cases the candidates may send D.D. towards requisite application fee along with filled-in applications.
  • The application fees for Bachelor’s Degree Programme is Rs.500/- (Rs.250/-for SC/ST/Cat.I candidates), for Postgraduate Degree Programme is Rs.600/-(Rs.300/- for SC/ST/Cat.I candidates) and for Diploma course the application fee is Rs.200/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST/Cat.I candidates).
  • The last date for receipt of filled-in applications with all necessary enclosures in the Office of the Registrar, UAS, Dharwad, is 22.06.2012
