Punjab Medical Entrance Test-2012 for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses in various Govt and Private Colleges affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot shall be held on 20th May, 2012
Prospectus containing OMR application form and other conditions shall be available at the counter in office of Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot and also at the following branches of Oriental Bank of Commerce on cash payment of Rs 1000/- from 21st March, 2012 onwards instead of 16th March, 2012 as mentioned in prospectus of PMET-2012

Last date for receipt of OMR application form for entrance test is 27th April, 2012
The banks shall not supply prospectus by Post
However, candidates can get the same by post on sending a request to the university along with a demand draft of Rs 1050/- drawn on any scheduled bank in favour of Registrar, Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot, payable at Faridkot
Candidates are advised to ensure deposition of OMR application form by due date/time by hand at BFUHS campus, Faridkot and not take risk of delivery by post/mail
BFUHS will not be liable for any loss due to postal delay
OMR application forms received after 27th April, 2012 will not be entertained at all
The university will remain open on all days except Sunday’s and gazetted holidays for sale of prospectus and receipt of OMR application forms of PMET-2012
Applications for the admission to the Govt quota seats/management quota seats/NRI seats as well as NRI left over seats shall be received by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot
Admission will be made by the admission committee through centralized counseling at university level, on the basis of inter-se-merit of the PMET qualified candidates for Govt seats/management seats and NRI left over seats
In MBBS any seats remaining vacant under NRI quota after 2nd centralized counseling of NRI quota in State colleges shall go to general pool and in the unaided-private colleges/minority colleges shall go to the management/minority quota
These NRI left over seats converted into Govt quota/management/minority quota will be filled by the centralized counseling committee from among the PMET-qualified candidates only as per 100 Point roster
NRI unfilled seats will be converted into Govt quota in Govt Colleges and Management/Minority quota in unaided private/minority colleges
In BDS course, after exhausting Punjab State candidates seats remained vacant shall be open to candidates having passed 10+2 examination or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from the recognized Institutions all over the country
NRI quota can be filled up only by genuine NRI, if no NRI is available, seat in the said quota cannot be filled up by charging NRI fee
Filling up of seats has to be consistent with the rules as may be applicable
Applications are invited upto 02nd April, 2012 for vacant seats for admission to MD/MS/MDS/PG Diploma Courses under NRI quota in private colleges
