29. Mechanical Engineering (Tool & Die)
Eligibility: The test shall be open to candidates who have passed the matriculation examination with Mathematics, Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) and English from State Board/Central Board i.e. CBSE/ ICSE/ National Open School.
Admission Process: Admissions will be made on the basis of inter-se-merit of Joint Entrance Test (JET) to be held on 7th April, 2013 (Sunday).
JET Syllabus: The syllabus for this test is broadly based upon the syllabus prescribed for Matriculation Examination (i.e. 9th and 10th classes) of Punjab School Education Board.
Exam Scheme / Pattern:
JET-2013 will have one paper of 200 questions
- English-40
- General awareness and Aptitude-40
- Mathematics-40
- Physics-40
- Chemistry-40
The question paper will have multiple choice objective type questions only.
There will be no negative marking in the JET.
The objective type questions shall be answered on a pre-printed Optical Mark Reader (OMR) answer sheet.
The candidate is required to mark his/her responses as per instructions given on the OMR answer sheet.
Exam Centres : The JET will be conducted at all district head quartes and important cities based on the number of candidates.The exact location of the Examination Centre at these places will be intimated in the Admit Card, which shall be issued to the candidates on acceptance of their Application Form by the Board.
Duplicate Admit Card : Candidates who do not receive the Admit Card by 1st Week of April may contact Board’s office on 4, 5 and 6 April, 2013 for issue of Duplicate Admit Cards. Admit Card can only be issued after showing photocopy of the submitted Application Form. A copy of the Admit Card is also available in the Board’s websites. Candidates, who do not receive Admit Card by post, can take a print out from websites and proceed to the Examination centre alongwith a copy of the passport size photograph.
How to Apply
JET 2013 Application Forms: OMR application format is available at a cost of Rs. 50/- in the affiliated Polytechnic Colleges, Schools, District Education Offices, Suvidha Centres at Deputy Commissioner Offices in Punjab and also at the Board’s Office.
The JET Application Form(also referred to as OMR Form) complete in all respects should be enclosed in the envelop supplied with the form and submitted at affiliated polytechnic institutions and at the Board’s Office on or before last date of submission of Application Form.
No fee will be taken while submission of the application forms. The application form will be collected by the respective Principals of the Schools of both Govt. as well as private sector and the Govt. and Private Polytechnic Institutions affiliated with the Board.
